Nancy Joy-Emery

Ms. Nancy Joy-Emery was a mentor, teacher and counselor in addition to being a finer woman. She retired in 2015 after a 38-year career in education. Her professional start began in Hardeman County. 1979 was the year that she began her employment at Bolivar Central High School. She was an employee there for five years before moving on to Whiteville Elementary School, where she was able to affect the lives of more of Hardemans children. Afterwards, Ms. Joy-Emery continued her work to educate hearts by teaching at Hornsby Elementary School. Later in her professional life, she made the move to Madison County, where she continued her work in education until she retired. She was a member of several committees, yet she always prioritized her students.
She is the mother of Antonio and Ashanti (Jamie), in addition to being the grandmother of Tieler, Jalyn, Taylor, and Ava.
